This registration form is for businesses and restaurants in the Village of Hastings-on-Hudson to make use of public property for business purposes as per the definitions below for each calendar year:

Sidewalk Café: use of Village sidewalks adjacent to the restaurant, inclusive of chairs, tables, or bench seating. The restaurant must maintain a 4' wide continuous path of sidewalk for pedestrians.

Parklet: use of Village parking spaces, either on the street or in a Village parking lot, adjacent to the restaurant, inclusive of chairs, tables, or bench seating.

After review, a permit will be issued by the Village Clerk's Office.

2024 FEES

Sidewalk Café: $200/season*

Parklet: $250 per parking space per year

Payment may be made online via credit card, with a 3.10% and $0.30 service fee or via check paid to the Village of Hastings-on-Hudson

*A season is from April 15 through November 15 of each year. Extensions for and sidewalk cafés may be provided at the discretion of the Village Manager after receiving a written request from the business or restaurant owner.

Additional Required Documentation:

• Westchester County Department of Health Permit or business license (for non-restaurants).
• The restaurant must provide the Village with a certificate of General Liability insurance naming the Village as an Additional Insured with policy limits of $1,000,000.00 per incident and $3,000,000.00 aggregate for the full year in which the permit will be issued.
• Liquor License, if applicable.
• A plan, showing the proposed configuration of tables, chairs, and benches (a simple drawing is fine).

By signing this agreement, you, the Applicant affirm that the restaurant has proper licensing in place complying with NYS Liquor Authority parameters and all Department of Health and other regulatory requirements to which the restaurant is subject for the building and outoor space in which the restaurant is operating.

The Restaurant agrees to indemnify and hold the Village, its officers, employees, agents, and volunteers harmless from and against any and all losses, costs, damages, liens, claims, liabilities or expenses including, but not limited to, reasonable attorneys’ fees incurred by the Village arising from or by reason of  the use and occupancy of Village property as permitted hereby by the Restaurant, its officers, employees, agents and invitees.
